I am writing this in memory of my father John Wood known as Jack to everyone. My dad was aged 87 and married to my mum Flo they have 3 children 2 girls Brenda (me) and Pat and 1 son Michael. He has 8 grandchildren Alec, Scott and Kerry, Joanne and Adam and Andrew, Robert and Christopher and he has 7 great grandchildren. My dad had a fall and broke his hip and from this time he never really recovered, exactly 8 weeks from the day of the fall he passed away with Bronichial Pneumonia on the 21/7/06.
We all miss my dad very much. He left his behind his twin sister Joan in Australia and his brother Ron and he had another sister Rene whom has passed away also.
We believe that if my dad had not broken his hip he would have still been alive today. He was an active man and was alway very independant until he suffered two strokes he recovered really well from them and went on to die from pneumonia.
His family miss him so much his wife, his children, his grand children his great grandchildren, his brother and sister and his nieces and nephews.
RIP dad we love you.

Missing you all
Hi Uncle Jack,
Jus twanted to say there isn't a day where thoughts of you and others are on my mind. I am missing you all heaps. Although we never got to meet due to distance with you in England and me in Australia it was your sister Joan my nana that told me heaps about you all that I felt that I had known you. One day I woud like to meet my rellies abroad.

I also know that aunti Flo (your wife) spoke to you when you called her name. I know you are looking forward to the birth of the great grand children all 3 of them. Here is an old photo that I wanted to share that I found of both Uncle Jack when he first joined the Merchant Navy and then my dad (Ronald) when he joined the Royal Navy. I thought it would be lovely to put on Uncle Jacks photos as my dad has now gone too to join his family.

At last you are together
Hi Uncle Jack,
After 60 odd years of being apart you have been reunited with your twin sister Joan my precious Nana. As you remember nana made the journey to Australia in the late 40's only getting to see you once in the 'flesh' back in 2002 when your grand daughter organised it through Cilla Black on her show which unfortuantly never went to air but you still had the chance of seeing each other again after so many years.
Well Uncle Jack you will now feel complete with your twin with you for all eternity. I know you will look after her and I am sure that by now you will both along with your mother, uncle bun, aunt rene, my grand father and my father along with others be catching up on old times and memories of year gone by.
Although I am missing my nana so badly I can sit and think to myself that now she is with her family at long last and to me that is important for her.
